It should be remembered that Puja is not a panacea that serves us for our benefit. It does not guarantee a positive solution to our issue. It burns karma! And for example, you would have received more karma if the solution had been positive, and by burning karma through Puja, you may not get what you want (what the ego and personality want).
At the same time, Puja will do its job, reduce karma, but the result may not satisfy you.
Puja works multidimensionally and it does not care what the ego wants; it removes karma, building a better direction for the soul.
